The Grain Escape Mocktail
The second in our series of Mocktails while we get into shape for our Helicopter Half Marathon on 27th May for Wales Air Ambulance Charity, this could well be our favourite. Orchard fruits, a zing of lime and a flash of ginger shaken and chilled, this is a grown up alcohol free cocktail - and proud! If you're serving this up with drinkers and non drinkers, you can also add in 35ml Three Grain Vodka per person for those who prefer it.
You could use pear juice and cloudy apple juice, but muddling fresh pear and using any plain apple juice works just as well. It is worth using fresh lime, though, for a vibrancy that really lifts this serve, along with the gentle heat of the ginger. This could also work in a tall glass filled with ice and topped with soda water.
Obviously, we love a strong cocktail, but for those occasions when alcohol isn't appropriate or desired, this really hits the spot for us - and we hope you love it to.
