Parking - There is a large car park beyond the main distillery building as you drive in. There are a couple of accessible parking spaces immediately by the building as you come down the drive, next to an access ramp.
Refreshments - We are situated 5 miles north of the market town of Cardigan which is well provided for with places to eat and drink. The coastal village of Aberporth is just a couple of miles down the hill from us and has a great pub (The Ship), a couple of good cafes and fish and chips (as well as gorgeous views and access to the coast path). If you're heading north up the coast road, we can suggest Siop Fferm Cherrypicked in Sarnau, or back inland to Newcastle Emlyn. We do not have a cafe at the Distillery, but we can make you a tea or coffee if you don't fancy a G&T!
Allergies - We have gluten (barley) and nuts (almond flour) on the premises at all times.
Our products are not certified as gluten free or vegan/vegetarian.
It is commonly accepted that the distilling process denatures gluten so issues that people with Coeliac disease or a gluten intolerance can experience are not usually caused by our products. Equally none of the component ingredients of our products contain meat or animal products.
We use dehydrated citrus (lemons, oranges, grapefruits) as garnishes in our G&Ts and are happy to leave these out should you need us to do so.
Children/under 18s - Children and young people under the age of 18 are welcome to visit the Distillery with an adult; however, we do not have any 'child-focussed' activities, and as a working distillery there may be hazards such as hot equipment or trailing wires that a child might not take care of. Please make sure to take special care of any children in your party. We also operate a Challenge 25 policy, so make sure anyone lucky enough to appear to be under 25 brings ID with if they would like to enjoy some samples!
Groups - We're happy to organise visits for groups, and can often do so outside of our normal tour/experience schedule. We can offer tours in Welsh and in English.
Please give us a call on 01239 872300 to have a chat about what you're looking for!
Dogs - We love dogs, but we are a production as well as a visitor space, so we are only able to allow official Assistance Dogs into the Distillery. We do have extensive grounds, so you are welcome to leave your dogs outside, or to walk them before or after your visit - please pick up any dog poo and take it away with you!
Motorhomes/Campers - Unfortunately our insurances mean that we cannot allow people to camp over night in motorhomes or camper vans on the Distillery premises. There are a number of sites nearby that we can signpost you to if required.
If you have any other questions about visiting, please get in touch - email sales@inthewelshwind.co.uk or call us on 01239 872300.
