A delicious Espresso Martini
Few cocktails have enjoyed a revival quite like the Espresso Martini. Rich, smooth and indulgent, it's the perfect blend of bold coffee and premium vodka, making it equally at home as an after-dinner treat or a sophisticated evening cocktail.
Using Cardi Bay Vodka gives this modern classic a distinctly Welsh twist. Cardi Bay Vodka is exceptionally smooth, with flavours of vanilla and coconut, allowing the rich coffee flavours to shine while adding a clean, crisp finish that elevates every sip.
The secret to a great Espresso Martini is fresh espresso, plenty of ice and a vigorous shake. This not only chills the cocktail but also creates the signature velvety crema that sits beautifully on top of the drink.

Espresso Martini Recipe:
- 50ml Cardi Bay Vodka
- 25ml Freshly brewed espresso (cooled slightly)
- 25ml Kahlúa
- 10ml sugar syrup
- Three coffee beans to garnish
Brew a fresh shot of espresso and allow it to cool for a minute or two. Add the Cardi Bay Vodka, espresso, Kahlúa and sugar syrup to a cocktail shaker. Fill the shaker generously with ice. Shake hard for 15–20 seconds. The harder you shake, the better the creamy foam. Double strain into a chilled martini glass. Garnish with three coffee beans for the classic finishing touch.
