Gin Making Experience

Make your own gin at the distillery

Create your own recipe, distil your own gin and take home a bottle that's uniquely yours.

Ever wondered what it takes to make a great gin?

Step behind the scenes at In the Welsh Wind Distillery in Ceredigion and become the distiller for the day. Our Gin Making Experience is a hands-on introduction to the craft of gin making, giving you the chance to explore botanicals, create your own recipe and distil your very own gin.

With guidance from our experienced team, you'll discover how different botanicals work together to create flavour and character. Then it's over to you to choose your ingredients, create your recipe and use one of our test stills to make your gin.

At the end of the experience, you'll have your own 70cl bottle of gin to take home – a bottle that's the result of your choices, your recipe and your time in the distillery.

What happens during the Gin Making Experience?

We'll introduce you to the world of gin, botanicals and distillation before giving you the opportunity to create a bespoke botanical recipe of your own.

You'll then use one of our test stills to distil your gin, with our team on hand to guide you through the process and explain what's happening along the way.

Once your gin is ready, you'll taste it and bottle it to take home.

It's an experience that's as much about curiosity and creativity as it is about gin.

Your experience includes:

• A welcome tea, coffee or G&T

• An introduction to gin, botanicals and distillation

• Time in our working Welsh distillery

• The opportunity to create your own bespoke gin recipe

• Use of one of our test stills

• Guidance from our experienced team throughout

• The chance to taste your finished gin

• One 70cl bottle of your own gin to take home
