The story of Brychan

Here out west, things are not always as they seem. Temporarily blinded, squinting into the light as the sun set over the coast, the bird of prey we were tracking as the light faded became more than beak, claw and feather. 

Echoes of the past reverberated and the kite became pilot, and plane - the surveillance mission accomplished, searching for a landing site and the comfort of a friendly bar to share tales of daring high above the land that the rest of us root to.
