Blended here at the distillery, and inspired by the journey of the Red Kite - Brychan - soaring over the fields and hills of Wales, this represents a curation of the finest single malt Welsh whiskies, aged in Bourbon, Port and Red Wine casks.

Welsh Wonder

I'm not a whisky snob and I like what I like. And this whisky, I like........a lot. As others have mentioned, great depth and warmth with an aftertaste to really relish. I had my eyes opened a few years ago to Welsh whisky and of the (admittedly) few I have tried this is a standout for me. My daughter bought it for me for my birthday as a bit of a gamble. She knows I like malt whisky and whilst I'm always willing to try new ones I have my firm favourites (Caol Ila, Aerstone Land, Clynelish etc.). I am really pleased to say this is glorious. I do get the honey and citrus but find a bit more complexity there I can't put into words. For me it needs a splash of spring water at 46% to really lift it. I can't wait for Blend No. 2. Thank you Kia and thank you Brychan, with this quality of product I can see many years of amazing whisky from the distillery.

A well blended Whisky

I have been a whisky snob, in thinking that the only whisky produced in Scotland was the only whiskey I should drink. In the last few years my taste buds have been woken up to the taste of whisky from around the world especially by the whiskys of Wales. This new blend from 'In the Welsh Wind' has brought together a blend of malts that are smooth and flavoursome which will become a staple of my whisky cupboard.
