Since the earliest days of the distillery, our mission has always been to enhance the Welsh spirits industry - to bring something new and exciting to the table. With Brychan, we launch the first blended Welsh Malt Whisky to come to market since the revival of the Welsh whisky industry back in the early 2000s.

In the Welsh Wind is incredibly excited to introduce our first blended Welsh malt whisky - and the first blend of Welsh single malt whiskies to come to market.
Blended here at the distillery, and inspired by the journey of the Red Kite - Brychan - soaring over the fields and hills of Wales, this represents a curation of the finest single malt Welsh whiskies, aged in Bourbon, Port and Banyuls Red Wine casks.

Single Malt Welsh Whisky
Our Single Malt Welsh Whisky champions barley grown in Wales, locally to the distillery.
Having perfected the art of making whisky in small batches, we have embarked on a journey to produce a whisky which never leaves Wales.
We malt locally grown Welsh barley in small batches, on site, using traditional floor malting techniques, and mash in on 'green grain' - a process we believe is unique in the UK and which preserves more of our local grain flavour in the final spirit.
When it's ready, our 100% grain to glass single malt Welsh whisky will be a true expression of the area around the distillery where we live, work and play.
Become A Cask Owner
Periodically, we release small batches of our 30 litre casks for public sale, offering the opportunity to experience the thrill of cask ownership while also choosing your own cask finish. This is a comprehensive package from distillation, through maturation here in west Wales to bottling. We can also discuss 200 litre cask sales.
